The live wall is a web page. Open it on any laptop or computer connected to your screen, and it updates by itself all night.
Open the wall
- Connect the laptop to the TV, projector or LED screen with an HDMI cable (or cast it).
- Sign in to Pixloud on the laptop and open your event.
- Click Open live wall at the top of the event page. You can also copy the Live wall link from Overview and open it in any browser; no sign-in is needed for that link.
- Press F11 (Windows) or Ctrl + Cmd + F (Mac) for full screen.
Match the wall to the screen
- Go to Look & feel → Wall Screen Size.
- Choose Automatic, TV (about 6 photos at once), Projector (about 12), Stage LED wall (about 24) or Stadium / giant LED (about 48).
- Click Save Screen Size. Open walls pick up changes within 10 seconds.
How the wall behaves
- It checks for new approved posts every 10 seconds.
- Each newly approved photo shows big for a few seconds, then joins the rotation. Every approved post gets a turn.
- Featured posts come round about twice as often.
- If the internet drops, the wall keeps showing what it already has and catches up when the connection returns.
Turn off sleep and screen savers on the laptop, and keep it plugged in. A sleeping laptop is the most common cause of a blank wall.
Use a wired connection or a phone hotspot for the wall laptop if the venue Wi-Fi is busy.
